Out of 80 organisations that tendered for the work, Orchard Learning and Development was chosen to design and deliver a comprehensive management development programme for St Albans District Council.
“It was Jonathan’s enthusiasm and genuine desire to help St Albans achieve the culture change we were seeking that made Orchard Learning and Development stand out”, according to Training Manager, Tony Clark.
Participating managers’ comments included:
“His knowledge and training skills have made the programme a pleasure to attend”.
“I found this course the best and most expertly delivered I have ever attended, and that includes with other
employers. Excellent and highly relevant”.
Over a 12 month period, 60 managers attended the four-modular programme, which included project work, a 360° feedback element, and action learning, and was endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management as recognition of its quality.
The success of the programme has led to a number of spin-off modules, which Orchard was also commissioned to deliver, further management training covering performance management, recruitment and selection and attendance management. Jonathan was also asked to work with St Albans’ Corporate Management Team to ensure that the organisation maintains and builds on the positive outcomes of the programme in terms of management behaviours and culture change.
